Allow this to be a brief recollection on who in my opinion is one of the most successful breeders of all times on the working bloodlines and for sure my favorite one. His bloodlines are pretty much in every working dog, he was known for liking hard and tough dogs that bitted hard, powerful males that were bred for real work, like the breed was conceived in the beginning. This is a small tribute to “Mr. Von Der Mooreiche” Klaus Kölbl.

Klaus Kölbl was born in Germany in 1945, during the period of 1980 and 2004 he bred 34 litters. He used 14 different females and 19 different males. I do not posses all his breeding records, but on the public registers he had 201 puppies out of this 34 litters. Some of the most influential dogs he bred are amongst others:
